The Astronaut and the Star

Hot and smart “gumpy-’n-sunshine” slow-burner with oodles of spice!
I really enjoyed this wonderful nod to “what if the movie The Martian had two hotties living in a HAB who are not supposed to bang but who cannot keep their hands off each other!” (It’s on Earth, FYI, in a practice HAB. In case you were wondering about sex in space suits.)
The heroine is tough-as-nails and not the most cuddly kitten in the litter, but she was written in a way that I wanted to see her realize she was worthy of love and could have a relationship. It was lovely and rewarding as she unfolded. The hero has a burning crush, insecurities and a learning difference that was well portrayed, IMO.
🌶🌶🌶🌶!
Spoiler: I could have done without the hostage situation drama, the plotting of which seemed abrupt.
Fictional couple not pictured above.* Too bad.
*If they were, they’d be on a solar panel and one of them would have their pants down (you’ll have to read to find out who). I’m still trying to work out the solar panel sex-logistics, that’ that’s romance for ya.
